"Stop questioning us. Why did DMK join hands with BJP in 1991?" questions CM in Coimbatore

He also questioned that if BJP is anti-people, then who is Congress party? However, DMK is completely OK to join hands with Congress party which was instrumental in killing lakhs of Tamils in Srilanka.

Coimbatore

"Instead of haunting us repeatedly on our alliance with BJP,  the media should throw the question at Stalin, Party President of DMK on why they joined hands with BJP in 1991?" slammed CM Edapadi Palanisamy in Coimbatore airport on Saturday.

As a majority of the reporters questioned on why they had signed pact with BJP, even after knowing the hatredness of Tamil Nadu people on BJP,  the CM said "The truth is central government has facilitated multiple welfare schemes to TN. The Prime Minister has visited TN several times during his tenure. Undoubtedly, the Centre is governing the right way".

He also reitrated to the journalists that they should be questioning Stalin on why his father, Karunanidhi signed pact with BJP in 1991? Din't they then know that BJP was anti-people?

He also questioned that if BJP is anti-people, then who is Congress party? However, DMK is completely OK to join hands with Congress party which was instrumental in killing lakhs of Tamils in Srilanka.

When asked on the alliance with DMDK he simply said "The talks are ongoing".

The CM was here in the city to attend a wedding of a executive committee member of AIADMK. While leaving to Chennai, the CM met the press and answered to their questions at the city airport.
